Dharma is a 15*8 inches oil painting on plywood. It is done using Aipan, a traditional artform prevalent in the rural Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, India. This painting uses geometry and spiritual symbols which hold Vaastu and Astrological significance, thus attracting positive vibes to your place.
People feel the mountain vibes after adorning Aipan paintings in their homes and offices. Further, these paintings provide a livelihood to local Pahadi craftswomen of Kumaon.
Directions for Care-
- Try keeping the paintings distant from water, thinner or anything which can damage, blur or diminish the painting.
- In case of painting’s contact with the above listed commodities, do not rub the painting with anything. Keep it aside and let it dry.
- Use a dry brush or cloth to shatter the dust off the surface.
